LGBT+ Mental Health Awareness Session
This event has already taken place.
This year, Mental Health Awareness Week falls on May 18 - 24. To recognise this, we welcome LGBT+ staff to join a cross-government discussion on their thoughts, experiences and support mechanisms around mental health in this challenging time.
Mental health challenges, and the new limitations we face in lockdown, can disproportionately affect LGBT+ populations. In this session we’re offering a platform for you to share how you’ve been feeling, hear from colleagues in similar or different positions, and above all - know you’re not alone.
Participants can contribute as openly or anonymously as they like. If you’d prefer to share your views anonymously, we will provide a Slido board for these contributions.
Sharing your views
If you’d like to, feel free to anonymously share some reflections on how you’ve been feeling ahead of the session using this form.
Whilst in no way compulsory, this can help us identify some key themes ahead of the session to guide discussion.
How do I join?
