Book club - PrideON (second session)
This event has already taken place.
Join us for an informal, friendly, and lively book club this Pride Month.
Whether you’re bursting to share your latest favourite read, seeking recommendations from like-minded individuals, or just looking to meet some new people, this is the place for you.
Following the success of the first Book Club event we will be hosting another session on Wednesday 24th June at 6PM. This time we will be setting some reading that links to Pride Month’s theme of Intersectionality.
Feel free to read some or all of the following:
- Audre Lorde, ‘I am your sister: Black Women Organizing Across Sexualities’ available here
- Audre Lorde, ‘Uses of the Erotic: The Erotic as Power’ available here
- Pat Parker, ‘My Lover is a Woman’ available here
- James Baldwin, ‘Munich, Winter 1973’ available here
Our discussion will be informal and friendly. Attendees are also welcome to speak about any book that fits the topic of Intersectionality.”
These sessions are open to everyone and will be facilitated inclusively.
