LGBT+ and Jewish Identities: A Discussion with KeshetUK
This event has already taken place.
As part of DfT’s Interfaith Week, please join the Jewish and LGBT+ and Allies Networks as we talk with Dalia Fleming from KeshetUK.
About this Event
Dalia will talk about her life growing up in the Jewish community, the challenges she faced and how the community has taken steps to improve LGBT+ inclusivity in recent years.
KeshetUK’s mission is to ensure that Jewish LGBT+ people and their families are included throughout Jewish life in the UK. Jewish LGBT+ people exist in all walks of life. KeshetUK aspires to work with all UK Jewish communities, including Liberal, Masorti, Orthodox and Reform, cross-communal and non-denominational organisations.
They work with Jewish schools, youth and young adult organisations, synagogues, and wider community organisations to become more inclusive of LGBT+ people through education and training.
Jewish communities are diverse and there is no single approach that will work for everyone. KeshetUK works in partnership with communities to identify their goals, then we tailor our support so they can achieve them.
