The British Council and the FCDO’s FLAG Network are very pleased to invite you to a virtual talk and screening to learn more about Five Films For Freedom, the world’s widest-reaching LGBTQIA+ digital celebration.
A partnership between the British Council and BFI Flare, London’s LGBTQIA+ film festival, Five Films For Freedom makes five LGBTQIA+ short films available to watch online for free anywhere in the world.
Through the British Council’s global network in more than 100 countries, people everywhere are encouraged to watch and share the films from 15-26 March 2023 in solidarity with LGBTQIA+ communities in places where freedom and equal rights are limited. Running annually since 2015, #FiveFilmsForFreedom has received more than 20 million views in over 200 countries.
The talk will be led by Briony Hanson, Director Film, British Council, with a perspective at Post from Sarah Love, Deputy Development Director, British High Commission Maputo.
