Event on 16 November: LGBTQ+ in National Security: security clearance and vetting

Over the winter, as part of the National Security Community Culture, Diversity & Inclusion initiative, we are holding a series of online panel discussions on topics of particular interest to LGBTQ+ colleagues and allies – including working overseas, why effective policy-making needs diversity, and LGBTQ+ in law enforcement.

The first, on Security Clearance and Vetting, is an opportunity to hear about efforts to make the cross-Government vetting process more inclusive, consider what change is still needed, and answer questions on issues of particular relevance to LGBTQ+ individuals.

The panel discussion will be 13.00-14.00 gmt Thursday 16 November on Microsoft Teams. After initial presentations by the panellists, there will be time for questions/comments (including an option for questions to be asked anonymously). The discussion will be unclassified.
